Far Out Scout // Life Changes

It's been nearly a year since my last blog post...and so much has changed!  First of all, for readers new and old, welcome to my re-branded blog: Far Out Scout (previously Lady Serpentine)!  With all of the changes that have happened over the past year and feeling like a completely different person...giving myself a new blog identity just felt like the right thing to do.  Alright!  So let's get to the exciting stuff!  What's changed over the past year, and what have I been up to?  Read on my friends!

Weight Loss

I'll share an entire post on this in the near future, including how much I lost and how I did it...but yeah!!!  I feel so much better physically and am so much more confident in myself!

Living Solo

In July, I made the decision to become single again, to move into my own space, and to become more independent.  It was the best decision I've made for myself in a very long time, and one of the most important.  It forced me to change my spending habits, to be self sufficient, and to spend time exploring ideas for what I'd like to do for myself in the future.  It's exactly what I needed and it led me to making more of the changes I knew would make me happy...including the following:

From Texas to Montana

I reconnected with someone very special to me, and I'm so happy!  After a visit in Montana and much consideration...I decided that taking the leap and moving to Montana felt right...both for the experience of living in a new place and for seeing how well he and I would get along being together before deciding if I'd be staying more permanently.  I've been here for almost four weeks now, and I absolutely love it here!  I've been meeting new people, I went snowshoeing for the first time a few days ago, I LOVE my job, and I get to ride my bike to and from work (almost) every day!

I feel on top of the world right now, and am so happy with all of the big life changes I've made and all that I've accomplished!  Cheers!

***An Update// May 6th, 2018***

Hello friends!  Much has changed again since writing this post...and more change to come.  I'd like to keep private the details of my reasons behind coming back to Texas, but I'm happy, healthy, and looking forward to making my future a happy one.

There is so much to be said about embarking on life changing adventures such as moving to a new state or starting a brand new job, but today I just wanted to share this pretty photo...the last photo taken from my time spent in Montana.

For now, I'll be enjoying the warmer climate, photographing the wildlife, and spending much needed time with family before I decide what to do next!  Cheers!
